The Two Oceans Aquarium is proud to be a member of several international organisations that help us remain accountable, credible and ethical. We pride ourselves in maintaining world-class standards, and these memberships aid in holding us to the highest international standards.
World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA)
WAZA is the worldwide alliance of zoos and aquariums, dedicated to the care and conservation of animals and their habitats worldwide. The Two Oceans Aquarium has been a proud WAZA member since 2019.
International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA)
IAAPA is the top trade association representing the global attractions industry, with a strong emphasis on the provision of meaningful experiences to the public in an ever-changing industry.
African Association for Wildlife in Human Care (AAWHC)
The AAWHC is a collaborative regional body representing Africa's leading wildlife institutions dedicated to the ethical care, conservation, and responsible management of wildlife in human care. The organisation provides a platform for professional collaboration and accreditation, aiming to help African zoos, aquaria, and similar facilities become effective centres of animal welfare, conservation, public education, and environmental study.
